Harassment Law & Procedure Training Certification Program
Overview:
The Youth General Assembly (YGA), in collaboration with the Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment (FOSPAH), organized the Training Certification Program on Harassment Laws and Procedures in Pakistan. The program aimed to equip professionals, students, and stakeholders with knowledge of harassment laws and reporting procedures.
Scope & Reach:
The training took place in Islamabad, Karachi, Peshawar and Lahore. Participants followed FOSPAH’s toolkit, engaging in discussions and case studies to understand harassment laws and how to apply them.
Objectives:
- Awareness: Help participants understand harassment laws and workplace protections.
- Empowerment: Build confidence to report harassment and navigate legal channels.
- Capacity Building: Create a network of individuals advocating for safer environments.
Highlights:
- Broad Reach: The program welcomed participants from schools, offices, and public organizations.
- Expert Sessions: Legal professionals and FOSPAH members led the sessions.
- Hands-On Learning: Workshops included scenarios, Q&A sessions, and group exercises.
- Certification: Participants received certification after completing the training.
Impact:
Participants shared that the program helped them better understand their rights and how to address harassment. Many highlighted the importance of continuing such initiatives.
Next Steps:
YGA plans to expand the program, collaborate with more organizations, and introduce new workshops focused on justice and protection against harassment.
