Objectives

• To serve as an intermediary between youth and policymakers by establishing a platform for young individuals to propose and advocate for legislative and policy reforms, thereby facilitating the inclusion of innovative solutions in governance and lawmaking processes.
• To advance youth leadership by offering structured programs, including workshops, fellowships, and training initiatives, designed to equip young individuals with the necessary skills for effective participation in governance, civil society, and leadership roles.
• To foster dialogue on key issues affecting youth at both national and international levels through forums, conferences, and collaborative projects, while promoting alignment with international frameworks such as the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Pakistan’s Vision 2025.
• To promote civic responsibility and social participation among the youth by encouraging their involvement in community service initiatives that address socio-economic challenges, including but not limited to poverty alleviation, educational development, and healthcare improvement.
• To engage the youth in initiatives aimed at advancing environmental sustainability, climate resilience, and responsible resource management, in line with global sustainable development goals.

Core Areas of Operation

The Youth General Assembly (YGA) operates across various critical domains to empower and engage young individuals. Our primary fields of operation include policy and civic engagement, law and justice, human rights and peacebuilding, political participation, education, skills development, business and entrepreneurship, and information technology. Through these areas, YGA aims to:

• Promote active participation in public discourse and policy development.
• Encourage civic responsibility and engagement among youth.
• Advocate for legal reforms and justice.
• Provide platforms for youth to engage with legal professionals and institutions.
• Promote awareness and advocacy for human rights.
• Engage in activities and dialogues that support peacebuilding and conflict resolution.
• Foster youth involvement in political processes.
• Develop strategies and advocate for legislative and constitutional amendments that empower the youth.
• Promote learning based on the principles of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
• Facilitate intercultural exchanges with like-minded organizations at local, regional, and global levels to share best practices and validate our mission of promoting education as a comprehensive process for human and social transformation.
• Engage communities, youth, and educators in rethinking their values and structures, encouraging actions that can be measured over time.
• Develop programs that equip youth with the skills necessary for personal and professional growth.
• Foster an entrepreneurial spirit among the youth.
• Provide resources and support for young entrepreneurs to develop and grow their businesses.
• Promote digital literacy and technological skills.
• Encourage the use of technology for innovation and problem-solving.
• Engage with diverse groups, including educators, youth, parliamentarians, empowered women, artists, activists, and media professionals, to exchange ideas, promote learning solutions, and introduce innovative content.
• Establish a dynamic platform for change, actively involving local communities, youth organizations, media representatives, women’s advocacy groups, research-based think tanks, legal associations, and policymakers.
• Generate resources for institutional autonomy, sustainability, and growth through innovative programs and team development.
• Recognize and celebrate progress supported by citizen accountability and evidence, thereby deepening democratic practices.
• Disseminate knowledge through the publication of books, reports, journals, magazines, periodicals, and other documents.
• Work with various associations to develop course content and arrange apprenticeships within the sector.
• Seek and accept grants, donations, and assistance from public bodies, corporations, and individuals to support our mission.
• Host and participate in seminars, conferences, and fairs that align with the organization’s objectives.
